After giving birth, I struggled with a torn rectus abdominis, and digestive issues left me bloated to the point where I looked pregnant months after giving birth. I remember a yoga class where my teacher asked me, “When are you due?” and it left me feeling self conscious. I wasn’t pregnant; I was just trying to heal.
Then, as I entered perimenopause, things didn’t get any easier. My core felt weaker, my belly still stuck out, and the hormonal changes made everything feel even more out of control.
