Why you need a meal-plan
By the time you have to decide what to eat, especially by mid-afternoon, decision fatigue has probably kicked in. It’s not surprising that this is the time of day when most people ditch their healthy food plan and reach for a chocolate bar. It also explains why take-out is tempting, or why you tend to cook the same three recipes over and over again. Unfortunately, constantly ordering take-out can lead to increased exposure to toxins, inflammation, weight gain, and can negatively impact your wallet and your health. And if you are a recipe repeater, making the same meals over and over can lead to boredom, and a lack of nutrients which can cause bingeing. Having a plan in hand can eliminate those temptations.
Eating healthy shouldn’t be so hard.
You know the saying, have a plan or plan to fail? It’s true. But it’s also easier said then done. A good plan takes time to create. I know. I’ve been there. Working a full-time job, then coming home to face the fridge, the stove and hungry growing kids. Feeling guilty when I gave my family what was easy, instead of what was healthy. After becoming a nutritionist, I knew things had to change. I spent years perfecting simplified, healthy recipes that my kids would still eat, making menu plans for the week. By following a set plan, I had more energy and time for other things.
Now I want to share those plans with you.
